Representatives from Mold Town Council will be at Mold Food Festival, based in the Totally Mold marquee throughout the weekend and they are looking forward to meeting residents, businesses and visitors. Whether you have a question about the Council, want to know more about what happens in Mold, are interested in becoming a Town Councillor in the future or simply want to say hello, please come and have a chat with us. What does Mold Town Council do? Mold Town Councillors are elected by local people to represent the community and help make Mold an even better place to live, work and visit. Your Town Councillors: • Listen to residents and represent their views • Make decisions about local projects and Council spending • Support community facilities, organisations and initiatives • Help organise and support events and activities within the town • Work in partnership with other councils, organisations and community groups • Support and promote the local economy and businesses • Consider issues affecting Mold and help plan for the future of our town • Represent Mold and its residents on matters that are important to the local community Who are your Town Councillors? Town Councillors are elected representatives who give their time to serve the local community. They do not receive a salary for carrying out their role. Councillors may claim an annual allowance of up to £208 towards certain costs and expenses associated with undertaking their Council duties, such as printing and other approved expenses. Being a Town Councillor provides an opportunity to make a real difference in your community, represent local people and play a part in shaping the future of Mold.
