Formed in 1997, originally as Argoed Concert Band, Mold Town Concert Band has been making and spreading their love of music across North Wales and the Wirral. After being adopted by Mold Town Council in 1999, they became known as Mold Town Band, then assuming the current name in 2002.

MTCB now rehearse in The Pod (formerly St Mary’s) on King Street in Mold every Monday night. The band has enjoyed playing at the Mold Food and Drink Festival for over 10 years, as it brings the whole community together. Under the baton of the Musical Director, Alan Milnes, they have competed in a number of competitions, including Llangollen International Eisteddfod, proudly placing 2nd in this year’s competition. The band supports a number of local events throughout the year, such as Remembrance Sunday, VE-Day 80^th Anniversary and Christmas Light Switch-On. They were also asked to perform at this year’s National Eisteddfod in Wrexham, where they entertained the crowds with music from Wales, film and stage.
