Children's Cookery School

Our hugely popular Children’s Cookery School & Food Science Lab is back this year and it’s bigger and better than ever before with EXTRA sessions. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to get involved with food and cooking – and all the sessions are FREE!

Saturday 21st September

11:00am - 12:00pm Magical Milkbook now

We'll learn about the structure of milk, and how different physical or chemical changes can convert it into everyday foods before competing with each other to see who can make butter to spread on their bread the fastest!

1:00 -  2:00pm Tantalising Taste Buds: book now

We'll learn about the 5 tastes and do some gastronomic experiments to get the taste buds tingling! We'll investigate the difference between 'taste' and 'flavour' and use what we've learned to make a noodle salad.

2:30 - 3:30pm Bonkers Bacteria! book now

An interactive session to get us thinking about hygeine and how we can prevent germs from spreading.
