Andy trained at University College Birmingham where he achieved a National Diploma in professional cookery. Having spent his early career working for Chef Will Holland, Andy went on to win Junior Chef of Wales in 2015 before achieving 2 AA Rosettes within the first 3 months of his first head chef role at The Bull in Beaumaris.

 

In July 2019, Andy went into partnership and took over ownership of The Gaerwen Arms on Anglesey- transforming it into a destination for great food and securing 2 AA Rosettes by November of the same year.

 

In June 2023 Andy started working for Bryn Williams and was soon made Chef Director across the restaurants. Sharing a passion for French cookery using local & homegrown Welsh produce.

He will be showcasing dishes from both of Bryn’s North Wales restaurants Porth Eirias & Theatr Clwyd.
