Mold Town Concert Band

MOLD TOWN  CONCERT  BAND   currently comprising  35+ regular members, functions as a community activity open to wind & brass players eager to perform a wide range of music whilst, hopefully, having fun!! The repertoire ranges from serious to swing, including Concert Marches, music from Stage & Screen, Popular, Classical arrangements and original compositions for Wind Band.  

The band formed in 1997 has, over the years, performed regularly in a variety of contexts and occasions both in and around Mold, North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral. It is so  good to be ‘back blowing’ after some 18 months of enforced dormancy during the Covid epidemic!!

There is no entry audition but, in order to maximise enjoyment, a minimum level of proficiency, broadly equivalent to that of Grade 3 or 4 of ABRSM examinations is recommended. There are often vacancies in most instruments  - any restriction to membership  would be made solely in the interest of maintaining a reasonable musical balance.
